Kiwanis float won "National" Award for best representation of life in community. Nine of the floats Kiwanis worked on won awards.

Chairman Dave mentioned that we have a small and dedicated committee but we do need to expand and bring more folks into the mix.

All sixteen rider spots were filled with the last one coming in two weeks prior to the parade.

Dave passed around photos of Royal Court with Tournament of Roses President, Reid and Dave. Those wishing a copy of photos should contact Dave.

Dave singled out to Key Club members from Woodard Wilson High School Key club members for their work with clean up and trash details. The boys would arrive at 6:00 am and kept working till 11:00 pm everyday. As a think you, Dave suggested that committee award each with a $ 150 grant towards registration for Key Club Convention. Action was deferred to the Rose Float Kiwanis Club.

Dave reviewed fund raising activities to date. Currently transferred $ 35,000 to district for payment on next year's float with another $ 5, 000 being sent next week bring the total to date to $ 40,000. We are $ 10,000 short of paying for the float. It was pointed out that our funding raising activities are running behind schedule and there is a need to improve sells of Grand Drawing tickets.
