Board of Directors Meeting
October 27, 2012

 

 


Members Present:
Larry Madick, Reid Allen, Craig Wallace, Don Medley, Dave Wallach, Bob Laguinas, Alan Guire, Lewie Ford, Ernie Arnold, Jan Robertson.


Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 10:08a, by President Larry Madick.

Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of meeting had been published via email and posted on the net. Moved by Reid Allen, second by Jan Robertson, passed.

Treasurer's Report:
Presented by Craig Wallace

Dave Wallach moved to pass for audit, Jan Robertson seconded, Passed

With the report, Craig submitted a budget for 2012-2013.

Moved by Craig Wallace, Reid Allen seconded approval, Passed.

Craig Wallace reported that we should consider collecting tax for sale of the ornament. We have accrued $272 for the third quarter.

Treasurers report for the Foundation was presented by Craig Wallace. Ernie Arnold moved to pass for audit, Jan Robertson seconded, Passed.



Division 10 Announcements:
1. LTG Lagunas reported, the Division 10 DCM will be held November 8, 2012 at Citibank.


Old Business:
1. Interclubs with Div's 10, 19, 25, 42 were discussed, None scheduled it this time.

2. The report on Owie Bow Wowie was tabled, Gina Woods not present.

3. Dave Wallach moved payment of $2000 to the Rose Float Committee, seconded by Reid Allen, Passed.

4. After discussion, Jan Robertson moved payment of $500 for Directors and Officers Liability Insurance, secondded by Dave Wallach, Passed.

5. Dave Wallach moved the approval of Ray Sanchez for membership, seconded by Reis Allen, Passed.

6. Ernie Arnold moved the approval of Carol Wait for membership, seconded by Dave Wallach, Passed.

7. Reid Allen reported the results of a conference call with Phoenix and Kiwanis International concerning approaching Phoenix clients. Hopefully the problem is solved.

8. After discussion the board asked Craig Wallace to approach the District Foundation about the possibility of them taking over the Rose Float Project.


New Business:
1. Next meeting will be a dinner meeting held on November 17, 2012 at Casa Blanca in Hacienda Heights.

2. Larry reported the sale of flowers for Kiwanis Family Month.
