on Jan Robertson's Medical Condition
Reid called on Shirley Carroll to update us on Jan's situation.
Larry Madick was applauded for his hard work as liaison to the
Foundation headed by Ralph Yack and to the Sponsored Youth. Roy
Talley, Governor Designate, will probably give his formal approval
to the project after he becomes Governor on October 1, 2009. He
will seek the support of the Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation.
on Kiwanis International Foundation by Reid Allen
Reid said that Bill Brown, Executive Director of the Foundation,
has officially retired for medical reasons.
Newly appointed Executive Director Linda Brimmer is very upbeat
about her job.
Her Background: A Rotarian, but has now resigned to become a Kiwanian.
Former C.E.O. with Goodwill Industries for over 12 years. She
is delighted to be aboard the K.I. Foundation.
Due to Bill Brown's illness and
the appointment of a new Executive Director, the publishing of
the minutes of the Summit Meeting between K.I. Foundation &
Cal-Nev-Ha District in Nashville, TN has been delayed. The minutes
will now be completed and sent to us by Debbie Atkinson.
A bouquet of red roses was sent
to Linda Brimmer by our club with a note which welcomes her to
Kiwanis and congratulates her on her new job.
Future plans await for Jan's recovery and return to Club activities.
Will be discussed with President Designate Marsha Jackson at our
October 10, 2009 -- 9:00 AM Club and 10:00 AM Board. Location:
Reid Allen will order his Past President's plaque.
